About tha’ Band
In November 2006, 3 people came together to do what they love most, play music. Wendell, Paul, and Kyle decided to start what would become Southbound. After juggling bass players for over 4 months, Andre came into the scene. Now that the band was complete we were ready for our maiden gig at Tunk’s Cypress Inn. In 2010, Andre’ gave up the music scene to spend some time with family and his new bass boat. In March 2010, Bill joined us and we immediately went back to work. We now play at Tunk’s, The American Legion in Leesville, The Verda Game Room, and Crazy Katie’s in Hessmer on a monthly basis. We have played at many different and diverse venues. We have opened for Nashville recording artists Trailer Choir, Sammy Kershaw and Joe Stampley at Louisiana Mudfest. We have also played several local festivals including The Lecompte Pie Festival and the Boyce Barbeque and Seafood Festival. Between the four of us, we have over 50 years combined experience. We love music, and love to play it even more. We specialize in Classic Rock and Country, but our playlist also includes alot of Blues and Southern Rock.
