AutoBio: Hey ya’ll nothing special here. It all started for me in the Early 90′s. I wanted to learn guitar, so a bunch of us would get together at my house every weekend for some front porch pickin. It was during this time that I met Paul. Also Kyle (who is my nephew) lived, and still lives, next door. But anyway, we ended up with nothing but a bunch of guitar players, so I was given a set of drums by my mother. I guess it was a hint to stop the guitar playing (Thanks Ma). I’ve played with a couple different local bands for quite a few years. In 2001 my wife and I competed and took 2nd place in the KEZP Oldies 104.3 Christmas Caroling Contest. I played guitar and she sang an original song. We still have the trophy on a shelf in the shop where we practice. That was my major award (Ha!)! It’s been a wild ride, I’ve met a lot of characters, got some great stories, and made a lot of great friends. It just don’t get no better! When it comes to playing music, I don’t care if we’re playing for one person or 10,000 people, I try to play like I’m never gonna get to play again.
In my spare time, I love to Bow Hunt and Fish. My favorite music is Southern Rock & Blues (It don’t get no better than Skynyrd!) My favorite song is Simple Man, that song just says it all for me.
If you didn’t already know it, I taught Kyle EVERYTHING HE KNOWS!!! I’ve got the pictures to prove it!!! Ha ha!!
